air'd my ion up to have a blast in my garden and it shot well for around 70 balls and then suddenly stopped firing, so i looked at the marker and the pressure in the marker was around 250psi which is normal so i tried to fire again and still nothing, check there was ball in the breach and there was which confused me, i then turned the air off and opened the grips to see if the trigger was touch the reciever on the board and it was, i then heard a sighing noise all of a sudden coming from the ion and the pressure dropped to 0. i then tried to air the marker again and it just hissed its balls off at me. i imediatly thought o-rings but i dunno, you guys any idea? it hasnt even had 500 balls through it.

Wheres the hiss coming from? My old ion had a massive leak, the air was p*ssing out the frame turned out the soliniod was knackered (to be fair Smart parts replaced it)

check your o-rings, check the banjo fittings and internal pipes then check the board, failing that send it to warped.

have you stripped it down at all, if so make sure the donut that the back of the bolt sits in is round the right way. if its not the bolt may stick. you may have had a bit of aggro putting the grip frame back on after stripping down if the donut is reversed.

stripped it down yesterday to check the noid and board and banjos and there doesnt seem to be a leak coming from there, i think its from the bolt. will get warped to check it i think. i dont really trust myself and i need it for big game xD

The ion should only run up to 180 psi not 250 psi you proberly over pressurised it, drop the pressure down to 140 to 180 psi. do you still have all the spare parts that came with your ion if so replace all the pipes and re lube the O rings, hope this helps

250 PSI is far too high for a standard ION, the internal hose's are only rated to about 170

Infact inorder to get that sort of pressure out of the reg you need the stronger spring that comes with the Epiphany kit, the Epiphany does indeed run at approx 250psi, but Smart Parts dont mention when upgrading that you need to replace all the internal hose's.

Smart Parts dont mention alot of stuff, they just make the parts and you have to be smart to make them work, lol

Back to the original subject, I'm thinking it's most probily the qev or small internal hose thats leaking, if you turn the pressure down your original hose's should recover but ive found in the past that the small hose from the solenoid to the qev needs to be replaced once its started to leak air
