we are all sorry about your cousin, may he rest in peace.
although dont get me started, he signed up for the armed forces...he gets paid by taxpayers money to go to war and fight and defend ur country, wether its illegal or not. face it. just like the widows who line the streets (im trying to be as sensitive as possible ok, im not wanting to be a prick) but when they go around (years back) tony blair murdered my husband etc etc, yes i can understand they are upset, they have to face it he was in the army...he knew that was his job, he would go fight one day. they should stop blaming the gov. and start respecting the fact that their husbands did their best and died in honour..
also, we went to take down a tyrant, not illegal in my eyes, and if you are reffering to illegal in the case of oil. i dont see that illegal either. we needed the rescources, survival of the fittest. war is built on things like that...its actually predicted war will next be fought over water but lets wait and see

yes she admitted she was getting as much money for the kids, hell i would do that if i was her and so would anybody else, although i dont think its that big that she made cancer more noticeable....everybody knows its being here for years. yes she annoyed me. even when our troops in luton were shouted abuse and, rightfully, front page news on the mail, her story was still front page news on the star...really shows what level this country has come too (in my eyes), worshiping celebrities over others who matter.
no not all the money but at least give a little back to the people who treated you so they can further the fantastic job they do
im glad this actually turned into a reasonable debate, and thanks to the various posters who have actually made me look at it from a different perspctive, as for the husband

find it sickening that OK or whoever will cover her funeral, even though 700k is a lot of cash for the kids etc.
how does her family need all that money when they have a celebrity father and a huge amount in assets?? how much money does she think they will need
p.s. im not a socialist by any means i just think a little less selfishness, especially by celebrities, will make a big difference
Jade Goody was known by many, personally or impersonally. Whether she chose to or not, her last moments up until her death would have inevitably been in the public eye. It was a long, but fast lived process, rather than a sudden death. The media lapped up the storyline, the readers lapped up the stories. So why not make the most of it?
And as for those grieving for her; I agree with Robbo. Our own opinions aside, Jade had many fans (or people who knew a lot about her due to Big Brother and her publicity etc.), and despite what anyone thought of her, we all had some level of sympathy for her (or I should hope). Some more than others, which leads to Robbos 'reality grief'. It is sad news to hear about anyone dying, but when the media publicise it to such a mass audience; it allows people who knew of Jade to feel 'sad' (naturally with anyone), some people could relate to Jade and her cancer, some could relate to her family; some just didn't like the occurence of a death.
None the less, Jades death has raised awareness to thousands of woman, whether purposely or not. And I'm sure had any other celebrity been in a similar situation, similar outcomes would have occurred.
In my own opinion, I sympathise with her situation and her family. As I would with anyone in such a tragedy. She may not have been perfect, but who is. And yes, some level of respect should be maintained within this thread.
