Ok basicly i have shot ego's for along time now and i love them to bits, im not very good at looking after my gear and it seams to be bulit proof, now a really want to move onto a DM however how relible are they, how easy is the maintance on them, and how easy is it to fix when somthing does go rong on the day

In my opinion, you answer your own question. The highlighted comment from your quote is the very reason why you love your Ego, they are a fantastic reliable marker and this is the benefit of the cure bolt over spool valve.
Don't get me wrong, DMs and PMs are lovely markers but you will need to give them some time and attention when you are off the field. They are not a fire and forget gun, they need a lot more lube and cleaning to keep them at the top of their game.
You could compare an Ego to a prostitute; always ready, always available and knows exactly how to impress you.
DMs are more like a high class girlfriend, a little costly to maintain but, with time and the right luvving gives you a performance that will keep you going back for more.
Personally I like the prostitute because it is ever ready lol (this does not reflect my sexual preferences in any way shape or form).
