I have realized the vast majority of guys responding to this are more than positive in their reaction and so we (I) shouldn't be fooled into thinking the small minority are anything but, than what they are, a very small minority.

We have to address this small minority though, if only to stop them from gaining any momentum because we haven't bothered to answer them; and so I suppose this process is a necessary rites of passage we have to go through.

I'm not even sure if this event is gonna be a goer because me and Steve have to develop his idea into a working plan and then into action.

Steve's idea is a great one though for many reasons and its timing is excellent.

The irony is, I honestly think, those self-same people (I now call them the 10 quid herberts) won't even go to a conference such as this because to go, the customer has to be serious about our sport, and I fear these doom-sayers like nothing else but to sit back behind their keyboard and interject with nothing more than negative comments.
And so, let's ignore them and crack on and see if we can get this going, I am sure it will be a success with your support and I will do my bit in talking to the industry guys ....

im deff not saying you should do it on the cheap bud and cut corners or it will flop in its first year, but people will be a bit hesitant at first until they hear the feedback and realise they are missing out on a good day, i would like this too work as much as you :D

im not saying you should or shouldnt turn this into a profitable venue its your choice bud but as i said earlier you could use the money too help fund the promotion of paintball in the uk which is good for all of us all, me personally i wouldnt mind paying £50 for a cracking day out that also helps the awerness of paintball that is a safe enjoyable game too play
Syn, I'd rather people crowbar their wallets open to the tune of 50 quid for the purposes of a great day out mate ..... I remember going to that carp conference of yesteryear I previously mentioned and although it only went on for one day, we talked about it for weeks afterwards...... Steve and I would wanna do the same thing for you guys.

Keep the positive ideas coming guys - and of course, constructive negatives (was than an oxymoron?)

PS Syn, I have seen many people use the word 'to' instead of 'too' but very few people the other way around :)

Woo hoo, let's run paintball as a socialist enterprise guys, I'll ring up Kee, Dye, all the big guys, I'm sure they'll all wanna jump on board the Bully/Robbo red bandwagon of non-profit events where everybody puts their time and effort in for nothing ...... ooops, was that one of its wheels just fallen off there?
'Nah, it wasn't, it was all four' :):)

oldham - lancs
Pete - deep breath mate (1, 2, 3, 4...). You know you will always get 'doubters' and 'moaners' about anything new - especially in paintball.

Anyway, I, for one, would rather pay a small fortune to get the best/proper advice for my kids team than pay someone a tenner to tell them something wrong. This is one reason I have only ever taken them to the NQ (and will be doing again).

This 'event' also gives you, the player, the opportunity to meet and discuss your views/fears/whatever with the 'NWO'. Think of it as an NWO/players meeting with a shed load of good stuff thrown in.

I'm still volunteering my services if needed.

Maybe just a daft idea but i am pretty sure the village close to the midland masters has a town hall type thing, and many hotels close by that i would presume could hold a show.

Why not run it along side the largest event in the country? Trade show on the sat tournament on the sunday? Having never been to the world cup etc in the states from what i can gather thats how they do it? I suppose the only problem would be people would more then likely have to stay over on the saturday night to save the hours of driving for both days?

Anyways was just a daft little idea :D
