is this the same as the smart parts maxflow tank? will i be able to just plug this into my etek 2? or will i have to make some changes at all?

you will need an asa, if im right in thinking that the maxflow acts as the asa as well as the reg.

**EDIT**: Mactoshdog is correct, you will need an ASA, your Etek should have one which can be mounted in the T-rail on the bottom of the grip, then the Dye tank (or any other HP tank) and screw right in.

well yeah, so simply my current stock etek2 i can just stick the dye throtle tank into the marker, as any other bottle would and im good to go?

Exactly right. If you have an ASA, any tank is good, providing it's HP.
The Smart Parts Max Flo (or any tank with a Max Flo Micro reg) it a combined regulator/ASA, and you mount the entire thing straight onto the marker, you don't need an external ASA.

You can use LP too, but Planet do recommend HP in their markers, but i know many a person running Ego's, Etek's on LP
