Bon, where would you recommend buying the items you listed?

Check prices on each, they can differ. One might be miles cheaper on something, than the other.

Get a decent PSU as well. Modern processors and GPU's use quite a bit of power. Not meaning get 2000W of power, but spend good money on a 600w GOOD PSU.

so are you saying i will be buy 2 - 4 processes, or that the new ones are 2-4 times better?

Put simply, speed doesn't always mean faster. Both amd and intel hit a brick wall and it was known for a long time that they couldn't get faster and faster without eventually hitting the thermal barrier.

Now to keep moving forward, new ways had to be found of making things "faster" without increasing the core speeds, hense dual and quad core took big steps forward, in making split proccessing more efficient and new improovements made so that what you want to happen is done faster by improoving how it is done.

Personally i wouldn't bother with Quad core processors if you are purely gaming. Games do not utilise them.

If you are video editing etc, then yes, maybe
