Because of the problems in defining a "newbie" last year, we decided to run these training days rather than newbie tournaments, to prevent people coming down just because they enjoy shooting the sh!t out of people who haven't played much/at all, then taking home prizes.what denotes a newbie by the way and do you do any walk ons, if so how often?
many thanks,
Scotty
Because these are ran more as training days, it doesn't really matter that much on your level of skill, as long as you want to come down and train. Some people there may have never played before, some a few times, and some lots. But as long as you want to come down and hopefully learn a few things, then you'll be fine.
In regard to walk-ons, we alternate when we are open with NPBA so that both sites/teams can train with each other. This weekend NPBA (stoke) was open so we are opening next weekend and so on (neither of us are open on weekends with tournaments). We try and post up when we are open in the training sites section, so keep your eyes open in that section.
Hope that helps!
