Fair play to BigKris - you certainly did your research BEFORE posting (if only more people would do this). Just one question though (rhetorical) - have you ever met Nick Griffin or been to a BNP rally? I can only assume that your quoting from the links you posted and haven't come to those conclusions yourself. One thing I do (and have done) is to ask the people involved directly. That way you tend to get the truth - rather than media clouding. Just a thought mate.

Anyway, I think I'll take the Robbo road here and stop my posting in this thread as well (besides which - I'm knackered from the 4-hour drive back to the frozen North ;)).

Peace and love to all :D.

Good God Missy..... The amount of gasoline you like throwing on fires, you must have no eyebrows left! :D
I speak not from generalisation or profiling, but personal experiences with Pikeys, none of which have been pleasant, and more than one of which have included them caught in assault, burglary and the throwing of dead dogs, dead chickens, and human feces onto vehicles (mine in one case). I don't have a good word to say about Gypo's, and have been known to use the tern 'Gyp'ed' when I've been unsattisfied with a financial transaction. If anyone has lived alongside Pikeys and had no problems whatsoever, then they are either extremely lucky, a gypsy, or blissfully unaware of what's missing.

Hi Raff,Yup point taken,

I generally treat the media, especially in this country with a healthy amount of cynicism, and if i'm interested in something,i'l try to compare many different documents, accounts, interviews etc from as many different sources as i can, from both inside the UK and outside to get as clearer picture as i can so i can at least have an informed insight into the nuts and bolts of the matter. i like to read which helps, not too keen on novels.

I've known guys who used to "go to the football" back in the 80's who were involved with the factions of the then NF back then, they never shoved their views in my face and vice versa but i have had some interesting chats never the less.Nice to be able to agree to disagree and no harm done.

I've never actually met Nick Griffin in person but i've seen videos of his rallies and read alleged transcripts from BNP rallies, meetings etc.

The BNP came to ST Neots in the mid 90's and used a hall there to hold the rally,i was working on the door in town at the time and about 800 of em turned up,some attending coming from as far away as Holland,Germany and Poland. They drafted in busloads of old bill and it got well hairy for a bit.

There were a fair amount of jackets being worn with shall we say "German war memorabilia" on em. Decided curiosity could have got the better of me on that occasion. it wa sall finished by the time i finished work

Have you met him?,i'm interested to know what he is like in person.

Lol Eric :D.

I have met Nick Griffin (and quite a few of the BNP 'high-ups') and he is actually quite a pleasant chap when he doesn't have an audience. He is also not daft, he knows that he needs the votes of anyone and everyone - regardless of race, colour or creed (wtf is creed anyway ;)?). Seriously, he just wants to be PM - and he seems to not care how he gets there. Yes, he is ex-NF (as are most of the BNP) but now dis-associates himself and the party from them (as to not anger the public - I remember the '80s as well). As for C18 - well, that was actually nothing to do with the BNP at all - that 'emerged' from a group of BNP members that decided they wanted to go back to the 'old ways' of the NF - but without using the NF banner.

In fact, Nick Griffin actually publicly denounced the NF around the time of the Oldham 'riots' - saying that they were nothing to do with the BNP - but were just there to cause trouble. BTW, this particular 'riot' actually started out as a peaceful rally in Oldham town centre - culminating in a peaceful march down to Ashton (where I live). The rally was moving along nicely (with the usual banter going on - but nothing physical) when it was attacked by a group of Asian lads for no apparent reason (there weren't even the usual 'Pakis out!' chants as there was a massive [about 2 to 1] police presence).

Yet this was reported widely in the press that it was a group of BNP/NF Nazi thugs that started it all! I was there (not marching - just spectating) so I know what really happened - and it was nothing like the media reported. Incidentally, about a week later - a young 'white' lad was chased and murdered in that very same area (by a group of Asian lads) - and yet next to nothing was reported about that.

This is where I stand on all this. I am not a true racist (there is a little racism in all of us - and if you say 'I am not racist' then you are lying) as I hate true racism in all its forms.

I actually believe in equality - and the reason threads like these get me annoyed is simple - it shows up the lack of equality in Britain (purposely left out the word 'Great') - not for the 'ethnic minority' - but for the white, working-class male (WWM). This is the fuel of the BNP - as it appears that the WWM is the only one not equal! This is how they get in to power in places like Burnley.

At the moment, the BNP is seen as the only voice the WWM has - because if he spoke up by himself - he could be arrested for crimes against 'the Race Relations Act', 'The Disability Act', 'The Sex Equality Act', 'The Gay Rights movement (not yet an act - but it will be)' etc. etc.

If someone speaks up against the WWM - what can he do? Nothing! That is why the BNP has grown in popularity. Maybe I should start an 'Equality Party' to get rid of all this PC bull ;)?

One last recent example of reverse racism for you. Lamar (sp?) appeared on GMTV last week. In the 'coming soon to GMTV' bit he was billed as "Britians best selling BLACK R&B siinger". Now, to me, the fact that he is black (whatever that actually means) has absolutely nothing to do with how good he is. I actually liked music by Bronski Beat and Soft Cell back when I was younger - yet they were never billed as 'gay' groups. Times change I guess.

Wow - considering that I wasn't even going to post in here again - that turned in to quite a novel.

P&L to all

MOBO Awards: Music of Black origin. Take out the odd (Token) Caucasian nominee and we have what I consider to be a pretty racist award ceremony. In the 60's and 70's you had Motown and Soul which suggested at Black origins but stopped short of stating it.
We have the Brit awards for the British recording industry but the awards are aimed at people of all ethnic backgrounds and music of any origin!
I think a MOWO: Music of White origin award, aimed at music of swing, big band or classical origins would probably get banned just like the British underwear company that got banned from advertising on billboards in the vicinity of Mosques, in Britain!
I've personally got nothing against the MOBO awards. If people want to stick with their Ethnic group and celebrate their own unique identity, I am all for it! I would just like the same rights!
I don't even blame any Ethnic group for the rot, it's mainly the bleeding heart white Liberals, fueled by the Tabloid press that are to blame, by blowing every little disagreement or complaint into a major issue.
With the exception of some extremists, most people, White, Black or tartan, would just like to be left the hell alone to get on with living their lives, their way!

Regarding Pikey's: There used to be an ancient law in England whereby any man who lived outside of the law governing civilised society, would be classed as an outlaw and could be 'Done to death' by any law abiding citizen.
Of course, there were a lot of really crappy laws too but I like that one ;)

Do we really want to start on the MOBO again, because I own MOBO discussions. I could just cut & Paste what I wrote last time if you like, but suffice to say I would LOVE to see a MOWO award. I bet Micheal Flatly would love another gong.
