Hi all,

With the first Millenium event now only 2 months away there seems to be quite a few teams still not registered to play, even in the locked divisions.

Lots of talk and rumours who will be playing this season but only 8 teams currently registered and booked to play CPL and 10 in SPL.

No mention yet from Nexus, Phillies, Joy, Phoenix or Shock.

I know lots of UK have folded over the off season but we still have a few teams missing from the confirmed list.

Also no mention yet of which US teams will be attending and who will be missing from last years line up.

Lots of talk about Dynasty but nothing solid, the return of Ton Tons but again nothing yet confirmed.

So short question, whats occuring ?

Laters :)

OK so 8 weeks, but the question still stands !

And another question, only 2 of the 5 events are confirmed locations and dates.

Lots of UK teams will be looking to play the Campaign Cup as it now forms part of the recognised leagues this season, so is it going to be in May or September and where is it going to be held ?

Good question.. It'll be interesting to see who eventually signs on the dotted line.

In my oppion the Millenium need to get all details released asap, especially when entrance fees or ownership costs are being pulled in.
On top of the venues, to my knowledge there has been no official word on formats/gun rules for this year which are supposed to be changing dependant on which division you play.

Very good point Tommy, I hope the gun rules remain standard across all divisions as they have for the last couple of years.

I would not like to see different ROF cap's etc in ANY event or league structure ( except KOTH style events for new players ) as it will mean teams and players changing their firing modes and playing styles dependant on the event they are attending, be it a local event using lower rates of fire or events with teams from lots of different levels of ability in the same Division ie NSPL Div 1 where Nexus and Tigers will be facing Relentless, Outrage and Demolition Squad OR a large international event with locked divisions and international teams.

This whole worldwide standardising needs to be just that, the same rules and formats running the same firing modes.

Was ANYONE at the owners meeting ? Perhaps something was made official there ?

Only asking as I for obvious reason was not there (not an owner myself!!), and heard rumours about almost noone turning up - did anyone care to participate in this meeting and making their oppinions loud and clear ? :(

By golly how an official union with all teams standing together as one would help right now putting some pressure on the Millennium Series to make them give us the customers some info !!!! ;)

I guess if no one showed up then in someway people cannot bitch about it now.... Same as if you don't vote you don't have a voice. I realise that you were not there so this is a general statement.........

How can the Millennium realise venues if they do not know themselves. I know there are issues with getting contracts signed, so if they say hey Germany is here before the contract is signed and then you book flights and hotels only to find out the venue has changed through no fault of the millenniums, all hell would break loose (and rightly so). So to avoid this they keep quiet until the contracts are signed. It is annoying and frustrating but in the long run it is the right way of doing it.

Maybe my tone of irony AND blame wasn´t clear enough - was actually exactly what I tried hinting ! ;)

As to your last part, I am not all that concerned about exact venues right now - more like countries and regions/areas tbh.... Just to have an approximate idea on where we are going. But of course I strongly expect it to be known before the season kicks off, or well at least the 2nd venue should be known soon in all fairnes.... IF we had only had some info on the 2nd venue I don´t think people would be too worried, as the 3rd venue is known already and 4th venue is still half a year away from now.

BUT rules and such - those really should be made official ASAP. Gun rules etc. are pretty crucial to know well in advance in order to be able to practise correctly - there IS a difference in practising with 12 BPS and 10 BPS for instanse - just to make an example.

Also - sponsors for the season ?? So what guns can teams/players actually play with this year ? That´s pretty crucial knowing soonest as well don´t ya think ? ;)

But yeah in general we agree - you just left out the part about rules hehehe....

Your right I did miss the rules bit but that is because I forgot and was on the phone so just hit post :D

So rules 100% agree they should have been posted and done by now. I think I know who is at fault there........... Ulrich is in charge of the rules so the ball lays in his court..... Hopefully he will get them done soon as at least everyone knows the score, and it is poor form that they are not done.

Think the issue with the 2nd venue not being confirmed is again poor that it is not known, however I did speak to Spike and he said that the Basildon guys are doing work for the 2012 Olympics and they could not confirm which is why the Millennium put Germany or UK on that date. I guess when they are dealing with large companies paintball is a small thing for these guys so we get pushed to the bottom of the pile.

:D
