Looking to get my own gear and was wondering if this was a good starter marker. Proto SLG UL 09

already have a friend who is giving me his halo b loader so i would like suggestions on air system aswell

you mean the SLG UL 09?

yeah really good starter marker, or there is the possibility of second hand, i think DM7's sell for about that price.

either way there both great starter markers

for the price of a new slg 09,you may only have to put up another £20-£40 for a pmr 09 second hand.As you are looking around the £200 mark there is a dm7 on here,i think ninja is selling it.Also looks like some other peeps have put bits in for free check with him on that one its £180 will pm you the link m8.Air system well thats up to you and how much you want to spend.If you go for the cheap option and get a steelie then im sure before long you will want to up it to a fibre bottle,again there is some cracking deals on here with bottles most of the time the person you getting the marker from will have a bottle also,no harm in asking.

SLG UL 09's shoot and handle really well.
The added touch of buying new is full warranty and shop backup which can be essential for first time buyers.

just a quick question does this marker run on HP or LP bottle??

Although HP is always recommended, unless you're using something like an Angel which runs exclusively on LP.

i dont recommend at SLG UL at all .... they break very easily. if you want a good gun ... get an Invert Mini.

Let me guess, you had an SLG that broke once, and "your" mini hasn't broken "YET"!

The SLG is no more unreliable than any other gun out there and to be fair the majority of guns that get returned to manufacturers have actually been broken by their owners.
Dye/Proto didn't get there great reputation for some of the best quality gear, because of rubbish products and poor service.
Buy an SLG with confidence and treat it well.
