hey.

well ego 9 + boomstick or dye UL barrel = AK47 easy to use easy to maintain will always work!
Planet have an amazing quality marker out there. but at a pricey price.
DM9 (only shot once) good marker is a spoolie so will have less kick than ego + more maintenance due to O-rings but still amazing gun.
just as a bTW in this price category you cant go wrong.

if u wanna be a show off buy a LUXE, produced by DLX+ smartparts it is basically the Bang olufsen of the paintball world (or claims to be) again its a spoolie but at that price who cares your paying for a marker which is someting special, lots of design and novel ideas (who knows if they are good, luxe isnt that wide spread yet).

if it was me EGO 09 all the way.

for hopper. well u have the Dye rotor (amazing piece of kit)
or the empire magna or prophecie (which dynasty has just signed up to use)
from experience on the field i go to in DE most people use a ROTOR they hit amazing speeds are good on batteries and are very compact BUT they dont hold as much as other kinda hoppers.

if u want something to hold a lot and be good get a pinokio hopper (can even be extended by 200) if u wanna play woods....

but hey hope that helped for a start :)
also summin u shold look out for atm is the Dangerous power REV-I coming out soon sweet lil marker)

or an angel FLY but i have no idea how they play.
also check out TECHpb they have the new "chrome" from regency paintball on review latest in swedish technology looks awesome!

and also they are very good . accurate fast and easily maintained
like pretty much every high end gun on the market these days, as everyone will say go to a site and ask to try out different markers, see what feels good to you

if you must know personally for me it would be a geo/ego09 and a rotor

Dude, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Your 07 is a great marker and will keep up just fine with any new toys out on the market. If you're hopper's unreliable, get a new one fair enough. In my experience, the Vlocity is a great hopper for sup'air, and with an aftermarket chip is okay on batteries (works well with reballs too). Or if you're looking at pricey new stuff, the Rotor and Prophecy are the two new kids on the block. Rotor is all new design, good battery life (I find it a bit top-heavy myself, but not a lot), seems reliable so far. Prophecy is light, durable, and has interchangeable nosecones to change what capacity you want and expands on the old tried and tested empire feed system. I haven't used it yet though, so might wanna talk to someone who's had one for a while. Hope that helps somewhat
