Press Release - London Nexus Sign-Up for the NSPL 2009 Season
Monday, 16th February 2009
London Nexus have confirmed that they will be taking an NSPL Division One spot for 2009 and will be competing in the first Division One fixture at the NSPL's flagship Reading venue on the 5th April.
The NSPL's promotor, Chris Pelling, expressed his delight in this news. "Division One of the NSPL is all about showing off the M7 format to domestic players, providing a spectacle at our events, and encouraging a high level of competition at the top of the NSPL's divisions. London Nexus are the embodiment of talent, drive, competiveness and playing flair. I'm ecstactic to welcome them to the NSPL for our 10th Anniversary Year and sure their presence will make our debut Reading event this season even more special and enjoyable for everyone. It's looking to be a great season for the NSPL with everything we have planned and the support we are seeing from Southern teams. This news from the Nexus camp has just topped it all off very nicely indeed."
The format for Division One of the NSPL is the Millennium's M7 multi-point match format including pit-stops, coaching, scoreboard, music and commentary. Three spots remain available in the division for the 2009 season and the NSPL is now accepting applications for these places via email (info@nspl.co.uk) with the intention of assigning spots based on achieving the highest level of competition possible by the end of February.
"On behalf of Nexus, I would like to say that we are happy to announce that we will be attending the first NSPL event in Reading and are looking to play the whole series. This is set to be a good series to be a part of for 2009 and I would like to wish all the teams good luck thoughout the year." - Clint Moore, Captain of London Nexus.
