Same as.....
My daughters school has been closed for no reason and i get a neck full from work and lose a days pay or a days holiday.
Seeing as how the roads to the school are clear, it's a pretty lame excuse!
..better put 'un' in front of your sign-in name mate :)

Normally I'd be happy it's snowed, day off work can't get into the orifice (story of my life). Unfortunately this morning, I was booked into sit my series 7 exam which has to be booked and paid for inadvance.... grrrrrr. Now I'll have to wait about a week and all that last minute craming will have to be repeated.

Why do you think i got the nickname Pete?
Was it because of my fame and fortune, or multiple accidents and problems:(
Irony is a truly beautiful thing:p
My apologies mate, I was blissfully unaware of the irony and all I can do is offer my condolencies and hope things change for you :)

Yep, same here my boy has a day off school cos the teachers cant be asked to go to work.

My 2 teenage daughters both work at lakeside shopping centre and live about 15 mins away, and have both decided they cant get to work in the snowey conditions.

I on the other hand live 15 mins the other way from my house, took me an extra 5 mins to get to work, my whole staff bar one came to work, and all I have had all morning so far is emails from companies saying they are closed due to the weather.

What a bunch of W*****s, what is this world coming too when snow makes you not go to work !!

Unless I got 16 foot of snow on my stairs, I can't use it as an excuse to miss going to work in my dowstairs office, but give me half a chance, and the prospect of another hour in bed, I'd grab it in a heartbeat.

Robbo (another no good w*****)

Knowing the general intelligence of workers at my place, there's probably snow inside the warehouse thanks to brain-dead goods-in/dispatch workers leaving the damn bay doors open. Not sure how my reach truck would react to snow...could be interesting
