Dye throttle tank with proto OOPS

Hi guys

I just brought a Dye Throttle tank and when i screwed it into my marker (with a proto on off asa) the fill nipple sticks right up into my wrist (when holding my marker in my right hand).

Is there anyway of altering how much the bottle screws in by slightly or is the only way to solve it by switching the gauge and the fill nipple?

Mine does too, so i bought a fill nopple cover (rubber thing) and it doesnt dig in as much.

I have just tried jack judges idea and it works well, the nipple now points down rather than in my wrist, but i had to add 3 bottle 0 rings.

Be careful adding O-rings. Your reg won't be screwed all the way in - which is not a good idea!

i screw mine out like half a turn.
and the pressure from the tank seals the threads so its pretty much solid

It's better than the bottle not being screwed onto the reg all the way...

The DXS bottles come with a handy collar that you can undo to change the position of the gauge and fill nipple.

cheers for the help guys, Looks to me like the safest and most permanent way to solve it is to get an air smith to rearrange the gauge and fill nipple.
