Planet Piper away from you freaks!
Not sure how you run things mate but we run on no profit,so afther shelling out nearly 6k for a brand new 2009 MS field i think it is a bit of a joke when they keep adding things. not to mention they dont even supply bags to store them in any more.

It just seems that the last thing on their mind is to help any one else, as some one has just stated and you shot them down. times are hard at the moment and adding some thing new 2 months before an event just seems a money making idea, maybe saying they are taken the piss is a little harsh, but when will it end ?

i can see they want to merge or what ever and it makes it good to have things changed up a bit but shelling that amount of money out each year isn't fair.

wind your neck in he was only saying.
That's the downside to running a non profit field Markie :D

I'm sorry, but I think field changes each year are a good thing and anyone running a training ground that wants up to date fields or a tournament series that wants to replica Millennium field plans should have expected an upgrade and made allowances for it. Afterall, as you said they set a precedence last season with the 2008 upgrade kit.

Don't take the written words on a forum to heart buddy - I wasn't being an arse, just thought what was written was obvious and beside the point.

Whats the point in changing the field?

Imagine the **** FIFA would get if they decided to change a footy field layout!

SOmeone really needs to just stick thier neck out and just say 'these are the rules, this is the field layout' end of

Then everyone will knwo where they stand year to year.

Paintball (supair style) is a redicuouls sport to get into, with all the different tournaments and rules floating about.

The USA can get away with having Millenium, psp etc as its so big. But this is the UK! There should be 1 set of rules, and 1 field layout, that the organisers agree only to change every, say, 3 years, so the sites know when its coming.

All this is aimed at the big tournaments, as obviously the small bigginner/intermediate tourneys have slightly simplified rules etc which is good for nowcomers.

Because it would be boring playing the same layout over and over again

And the Millennium is a european league.

Well with things like they are, it'll be a case of stick with the same layout, or a rearranged layout with same bunkers, or there'll be less places to play as some sites wont be able to afford.

Think you might of misunderstood. the millenium have a set number and type of bunkers they use (please correct me if im wrong). for each venue they rearrange the bunkers into a new layout.
This year they have added in a new type of bunker to be use din the layouts.

This means for the training sites, to set their field up to the millenium field layout, for teams to practice before an event they need to purchase these new bunkers and not a whole new field.

i dont think they really could...a hill in the middle of a footy game wouldnt work.

so why are you in it then?

There should be 1 set of rules, and 1 field layout, that the organisers agree only to change every, say, 3 years, so the sites know when its coming.
with one layout for three years? thats pointless, it would make a sport which is already boring for spectators...even more boring for them and the players too, also everybody would know where to shoot here, their and when, which lane, which bunker is good etc etc for three uyears, even three events would be boring to play on the same field, really it would be utterly boring and too quick. its much more exciting with a changing field at each event...beleive me.

Personally...i think the added bunkers would be good, adding a new touch to the game for teams to work around and making fields evenm more complex and different for the spectators to enjoy too watch and players to enjoy to play on.

so your saying the big tournaments, should keep the same field?

and the small tournaments change their field as they already have simpler rules?

if im wrong correct me please, but that would be a bit stupid iun my honest opinion and also thats how you have worded it.

p.s. millenium is european
