well its all prefrence mate, i persoanlly like the proto ones however the dye ones are also cool, but found they opend in my pack the fat boys are fine but persoanlly dont like them as they CAN be a pain to open, and i broke them like every time i played

as for pack depends what sort of ball you play and you postion (if sup air) and how much paint you shoot

Most are pretty much the same, although I personally like the dye locklids, as they are easier to open one handed than many other brands...

bubblegums not far off on this one.

Dye locks are easy to open with a little tab that you simply slide and the lid will pop open, Proto ones are reasonably robust with a tab sticking out of the pod to open with your thumb, fatboys are robust with an indented tab (think of it as a grove cut into the pod shaped like your thumb) and you just flick the lid open without the use of a pretruding tab (so to speak) If you're going to be playing in the woods i'd suggest a 4+3+2 NXE pack, as they're generally a good all rounder.

Any of the pods Dave mentioned are good for the woods. I do find that locklids open when I'm pulling them out of my pack (I press the tab by mistake in my haste) and are quite a tight fit in most packs, and proto pods break (the lid is attached to the main pod like a collar, which I occasionally pull straight off). Fatboys are easy to open and don't break (don't break the bank either). I also like draxxus pods cuz they stay shut and don't break, but they're a bit hard to open (I care more about them staying shut).
