Dont use rechargeables in your marker that has a stock board.
Although there are some after market boards that can handle rechargeables, i would still use alkaline batteries to be on the safe side.
You can damage or fry the boards.
Test with a multi meter.
8.4volt rechargeables when fully charged, can have as much as 10 volts.
9.6volt rechargeables when fully charged, can have as much as 11 volts.

Ive used 9.6v rechargeables in hoppers in the past on evolution 2, VLO (viewloaders), Halo TSA's, and they have been fine.

Check this site out.
Powerex batteries
Click under buy, scroll down and look for UK.

If your hopper takes the 6 AA battery packs, i can give you details on where to get a custom lightweight battery pack from.

You want the largest mAh you can find.
Thats the capacity of the battery. (how much power it can store)

mH is a value of inductance.
Thats the propety of a wire, to produce EMF in a (damping) response to a change in current.
Nothing to do with batteries.

I recommend you avoid using rechargables in your marker.
It will cause more problems than its worth.

Using rechargables in the halo hopper is not so bad.
Just get 2800mAh+ double As.

I have just spent £100 + on Maha chargers/Powercell batteries
(in for a penny in for a pound);)

brought the 9.6v batteries, going to try them in a Velocity.

will let you know how I get on with them before you spend you hard earned
cash :)

mAh is milli-ampere hours. It's the ENERGY capacity (not the power) of the battery. One milli-ampere hour is a current of 1 milliamp at some voltage for an hour.

Just to clear some things up

Go for the:

Individual BONE SMART FAST Charger (No BONE Pack) ....................................................... $35.00

- Fast charges one BONE pack in 2 hour and shuts off.
- World Wide Usage: 110v-240v. Will charge 9-volts.

For your hoppers

UPDATE

Bored yesterday soooo tried 6 AA's (2500) rechargables in a Pulse left it continuously running, (restarting it when it switched its self off) stopped the paddles occasionally, to make sure there was still force there and even through in some reballs every now and again.

they ran the hopper for over an hour and a half solid (until i was bored resetting it and had concluded that would be long enough for a day's
paintball :)

now will try them in a game.... :)

Tried two 9v (9.6) batteries in a Velocity but these wouldn't power it enough to feed any balls at all ?? Only charged the batteries from new so will run them down with something else and try them in the Velocity again.

I've been using rechargable PP3's or AA's in my hopper or markers for around 18 months. I've had no real problems other than finding they discharge more quickly than alkaline batt's in really cold weather.

I always check mine on a voltage meter (bought from maplins) to test output.

Brands tried so far are energiser, Duracell and Ansmann
