I'll have you know that they were only pre production IED's.Look at the IEDs they design, cheap and more effective than anything the Irish have made.... I could go on but you are in no way understanding.

Re the IED's, there is another big difference. The avarage Al Qaeda IED blow-uppy-type-person does not die in the attack, the charge is set off from a distance.
However, Al Qaeda in Iraq and Afghanistan has access to far more explosives than the guys in Ireland; Old Iraqi/Afghan stockpiles of shells and US made UXB's (unexploded bombs).
They usually do a nice kaboom, particularly when a few are rigged together.
