I can't see how any ref would ever call someone out for a pack full of chronic pots! That would hardly be mistaken for a hit.The orange clamping feedneck on the other hand, could well be.(from a distance anyway)

Actually, there is a very good reason. The majority of paint fills used in the Mills are Orange. A LOT of players get pack hits. A LOT of packs leave the top inch or so of pots exposed. Orange pots make it difficult to see a hit and also cause refs to run across the field to check for non-existing hits and/or pull players for non-existing hits.

Domestically, some exceptions to the Millennium's rules are made in order to remove barriers for your average player to compete.

I know the UKM dont let u use orange markers ... lots of orange minis being put back into kit bags one event was a sad sight.
I wouldnt mind knowing how many teams actually shot paint with a orange fill on that particular day ? probably the same amount of teams that shot paint with a yellow fill.
Damn silly rule for domestic tournys if you ask me,especially if little johnny's just managed to scrape enough cash together to buy his first tourny marker just to find out he cant use it because its orange.

Yes but you say that but how many people make orange markers / parts these days?

Oh wait just invert ... nothing against them but should have thought at least a little bit.

Orange is a colour which isnt allowed to be used at the masters, I had a couple of gats passed to me for a colour check last year and they tried telling me it was sunburnt yellow!! it was bright orange. Its in the masters rules which to the most part are the millenium rules.

Why not start a thread "who males orange paint" orange is a baned colour however yellow isnt and i pretty sure there are loads more paint manufacturers that sell yellow paint over orange ( i can think of 2 that are orange and 5 thats yellow) :D

More than likely, if they made more yellow gats, they would be banned too. as previously stated, it's because most fills at Mills are this colour.

what about just an orange trigger, feedneck and maybe barrel tip and on/off?
that wouldnt be the whole marker
it doesnt say parts of the marker cannot be orange, the rules just use the colour orange!! which means nothing can be orange. We dont make the rules we just have to inforce them what ever the rule is and wether we like them or not!
