Your paypal account stores it as Dollars so you will have it in Dollars, when you make a payment to some one / withdraw it it will convert it at the rate current to paypal at that time.

Oh yeah sorry didnt mention that, he can send it as £ and it will convert it for him (so if exchange is bad he suffers not you). Pound is weak at the moment.

Your paypal account stores it as Dollars...

...unless you tell it otherwise. You need to change you primary currency to UKP - then everything is in real money .
