ego's and dm's

thats a very gd question
i've always gone for ego's as i think there a better marker. but i dont know why ego's are more valuable than dm's.
would be interested to know why, aswell

simple economics... demand is higher for Egos based on a number of factors such as available colours, ease of maintenance, popularity etc
dms are generally seen as more difficult to maintain
It will be interesting to compare DM9 with Geo (both spool valve), resale prices at the end of 2009/early 2010....

Egos are more prolific in the UK and with their fantastic after service care you cant go worng so people are willing to pay a few quid more knowing that planet will always be there to help. Saying that ive used the Dye after service care and found it to be simply amazing
Allthough I have yet to play with either marker I have held and fired both and to be honest I found the over all feel of the DM much more to my liking to the ego.
Found the ego to be bigger and heavier (not sure if it actually is but it seemed like it)
Recently picked up an ego 05 and pm7 so will be able to give a better comparison at a later date (would get the out now but Im getting lazy after all these xmas day leftovers!).

the more recent egos have been actually lighter than the dm's from the same year.
Egos are more efficient.
However I love matrixes.
With the DM for that tiny extra weight you're getting a much smoother shot. Self cleaning eyes.
And most importantly IMO a much more ergonomic gun. (no external lpr, UL frame)
Maintence is breeze on a DM, granted it has to be done more often but it is no harder than that on an ego.
As with alot of things in paintball it comes down to two things.
Personal preference and your own personal priorities but for me it's DM all the way.
