Boxing is being killed off in this country. 
ALL the good fights, the fights people want to watch are now held in the USA, and due to the time difference makes watching them for most people a huge no no.
Shame as there nothing better then a good boxing match.

agreed but none of them go for more than 5 rounds now a days so i dont see the point in watching them anymore ! old school fights are loads more exciting ! cant beat too boxers going punch for punch for 12 rounds !!
Britain has some great boxers at the moment though who will be world champs in a few fights time.

yea we do ! and they dont get no were near the coverage that they deserve !
if it werent such a money sport and they played in on normal tv then the sport would be on top again ! you go out on the street and ask people if they have ever heard of david haye and 90% of people wont have a clue who he is or what he does !

I'm not even gonna dignify this post by answering it other than to say it's the biggest amount of inane drivel I seen for a long time on these boards ...it actually borders on the insulting and is an offence to commonsense.

and to your comment about not being able to win any other drivers championship i think you are 100% incorrect ! if you would have watch the top gear interview with him you would no this ! he was only .2 sec i think it was off the stigs best time in the dry and he did it in the wet ! and anothing thing you cant just swap and change boxers gloves as they are all different weights so may be if you did swap calzaghe's gloves he might not of won a few of his fights but you will never no !

Of course you're entitled to your opinion... but you are wrong!
Calzaghe has never ducked any opponent, is undefeated and has been recognised by Ring Magazine to be in the top pound for pound fighters.
Hamilton might be talented, and has achieved this year, but he isn't Fangio, Senna or Schumacher. Let's consider the longituidinal aspect that will only come over time... Calzaghe has this, which is why imho he is the most deserving winner this year.
