Proto Slg or Ion

Hi all,

Which marker would you all reccommend.

I am looking at playing a bit of erverything really.

Scenario woodsball and sup' air.

I am looking for a marker that will keep me going for a whicle and has a few options for upgrading too.

the SLG is the better marker by far in my opinion, if you want a gun that will keep going and keep up with markers that are £600 more then look at the SLG ultralight..... A cracking bit of kit. The slg ultralight costs about £195 at the moment brand new, where as the Ion has gone up in price to about £235.

wat is the difference between the ultralite and standard slg.

Youd think so but apparently its just a different trigger, board and its slightly thinner but hardly any lighter.

theres not much difference in the weight at all. The ultralight has a different better gripframe, board and trigger. It also has a clamping feedneck and different milling on the body. just to give you an idea of the price, if you bought the ultralight frame seperate for the pmr you would be looking around the £120 mark for it.

Is it worth the extra money.

Will only probably manage to play 10 walkons per year and want to try and get sorted on a bit of a budget.

well if it is a case of SLG vs ION then yes its worth every penny, just a quick approximate breakdown in prices for you.
SLG 08 (standard slg) £120.... upgraded to the ultralight 09 version £195
ION XE old price £140...... ION XE new price £235.. and the difference apart from price on the ion... absolutly nothing. No upgrades at all just a price hike!

Tadao has just released a new board for the slg, so if feel like playing around with it there are some decent upgrades available.

i would say the slg also, looks cooler on the field in my opinion! with the ion xe board you will have to upgrade it as where with the slg board you can set it to play in tournys.
