Here's the story,

I'm in university at northampton, and i'm looking to get into paintball. There aren't really any parks close by (that i know of), any walkons nearby (that i know of), or a university society/club (again, that i know of).

From my research (mostly google, and the univesity societies page) there isn't really anything paintball related that i can get to.

So, my options are:

- Leave it, until i get back home for christmas/summer, and start to play in a local woodsball park. It's expensive, you're not allowed to take your own paintballs, and it's not really speedball or anything fun. I probably wouldn't be able to go alot, I'd only be able to play when i'm at home.

- Start a paintball society, rally people who would be interested and try and get the universities attention to start something. Not really much of an idea, as i dont really know many people here, I haven't got any experience in paintball other than a bit of recreational woodsball, and i have no equipment of my own yet.

- Desperately keep searching.

- Or, give up.

:(

Suggestions, comments, queries?

Thanks
-Jack

I certainly wouldn;t mind that

xD

It's just - I have no clue! I haven't really played any paintball other than a bit of rec woodsball for birthdays and whatnot. I'd have no idea what i'd be doing. And I don't know anybody in the uni who's interested, or how to get people interested.

Not to mention my organisational skills are awful.

I kinda want to start learning from people who know a thing or two before i even consider starting anything.

-thanks

edit:: I have the option of travelling to coventry every once in a while, but it would cost a fortune in train tickets, taxis and whatnot - and i'd probably not get to go that often.

I'm without a paddle at the moment

they will be able to advise you and may also help you start it running.

I'll give them an email or something - It's worth a try

I just really dont want to start anything yet - I'm a first year with virtually no pb experience.

The only way I can see a new club starting up is if there are students here who play and have a bit of knowledge, I'd be useless. But i can always ask if there's been any other interest in it.

-Thanks
