Say we dont manage to sell the spot, and then are going to play the SPL in 2009. It would be hard to convince sponsors to support us when they know we wanted to sell before the season.

Either we play SPL and commit all the way, or we don't play at all, thats why i dont want to give out info except to the ones that are genuine interrested. And do you realy think any sponsor would accept giving stuff to a team on false premises without taking it back/send bills for it.

Apart from the fact that spl_spot's English is far too good for him to be a Nigerian fraudster, I don't think anybody is mug enough to splash out the cash on Scamityville Shysters spot before checking it out, especialy with the subsequent transfer and name change fees payable to the Millennium. At no point has it been asked for money to be transfered by Western Union either!

There are enough rumours about concerning who's playing what league/division, without teams revealing their hand early on in the off season, plus, as the OP has suggested, there is no need to make your current sponsors jittery, if you plan to say go up a Division, or switch leagues.

There have been many people scammed on alot of the forums with similar posts...doesn't hurt to be cautious. And yes if it's legit, then I may be interested - but it doesn't read that way

So maybe you should stop being nosey then? Questions are valid. (no animosity intended Bolter, I'm not looking for an arguement)

I understand the need for secrecy at this stage by whomever it is, and I dont think they needed posts asking for who they are when you were probably not going to buy.

Well, now I understand why the secrecy, which is all I wanted to know.

This has been on the back burner for the team for a while and has been mentioned a few times recently. But unfortunately we are currently only sponsored by our jobs......
