hi all, this my sound really thick but i'am new so i have to ask

i dont get the diffrence between 3000psi and 4500psi? i know wot your going to say 1500psi! but if the bottle is the same size then why could it get more in? would you not just get a bigger bottle? there is big bottles and smaller bottles.

Cheers medley

The 4500 air system is manufactured to a much higher safety specification and can therefore handle higher pressures.

They may well be of similar size but they are most certainly not of the same spec.

You are getting VOLUME and PRESSURE mixed up.

3000psi or 4500psi Is the PRESSURE inside the tank and has nothing to do with size of the tank.

How much space the tank takes up is the VOLUME i.e. the size.

So you can have a 4500psi tank that is the size of an apple (in theory) but its volume (the amount of space that air can fill) will be VERY Small. So the amount of air at 4500psi that you can get in it will also be quite small. Not enough to take more thank 5-10 shots (i'm guesstamating), but it will still be at 4500psi inside the tank.

make sense now?

Above explains it, but i'll try to help a bit more.

The pressure of the air inside is the amount of air that's quished into the tank. If there is twice as much air in a volume that at normal pressure (atmospheric pressure), then the pressure of the air will be 2 bars. The volume is still the same.

So 1.1litres of air at 4500psi has more air (molecules) in it than 1.1litres of air at 3000psi. In paintball terms, it means you will get more shots out of the 4500psi tank.
