Hi,
MY son wants an ION XE marker and I can find them cheaper in the USA than here but he seems to think that it may not comply to UK rules.
Anyone help me on this one please.

Cheers.

Pretty sure that it could be. Only problem could be that you probably won't get warranty on it.

If your son is playing Millenniums, then he'll have to have the board to comply with it aswell, unless they've already developed one (not too sure on smartparts)

I think the uk ion xe donest have the full auto firing mode and one other but is not a loss as im pretty sure full auto is not used in any tourny's

what type of paintball is he wanting to play??

i had the xe as my 1st marker and it was good and easy to maintain. but......

in my opinion i think the proto slg is prob the better option and its tourny ready out of the box.

It will probably comply but.................................

You will need to add another 20% onto the retail price for import duty and VAT and another £20-£30 for delivery.
It will probably cost you more from the states in the long run and then there are problems with regard to the warranty if it should break.

Support the uk dealers! and i dont think you will get warranty.

Try:-

www.lpspaintball.biz They will sort you out if you want a whole package OR

www.warped.co.uk (i think thats the address)

They do ion xe's

Stay in the uk its easier, you will receive it quicker and if something does go wrong its easier to send back to a uk delaer as opposed to an american dealer.

my 2p good luck anyway

The import duty and fees you will have to pay will far out way the benefits of buying in the UK. I got billed £65 for my own clothes that werent new lol

And if anything does go wrong your not coverd over here, so i would call warped and see what they can do in the uk on 01902 455 455

Jimmy Frensham at Warped is the UK's Smartparts and Ion specialist - the website is www.warpedonline.com or www.warpedpaintball.co.uk, and if you can get to Wolverhampton to collect it they'll show you how it all works, how to maintain it, strip it, the works. And if it goes wrong, you're covered!
