hey

i got my first lot of paint equipment 2 days ago and i've been having fun trying to figure out how it works. My marker set up is a proto slg ultralite with halo reloder b and a pure energy 3000 psi 48 cu aliminum air system.

i was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to get to grips with it and exspolre how it works without damaging it and answer these quiries.

i've tested out the hopper by putting balls in and seeing how they come out and how the spinny thing works so i think thats ok.

i'm a bit confused about the bolt and what that does. if i turn the marker on and the eye off and pull the trigger i can hear the bolt clicking away but doesnt seem to do anything, even with the ball in and the eye turned on the bolt doesnt seem to do anything but click so i was wondring if anyone could tell me how that works and any tips on mentance of it.

my next question is about the eye. how is that soposed to be cleaned if it gets dirty? i kno it works because i've seen the light change colour and flash if the trigures pulled and the ball doesnt move.

the area i'm most confussed with is the air system. how does this work. i noticed when i scrwed the air tank in air started to leak out, i think it was throgh the back bit of the gun where i think the bolt sits. from what i read in the instructions i think its something to do with the pin depressor. it says that "if the screw is set too far out, the pin valve on the air system is opened to early and air will leak ot throgh the exhorst hole on the top of the airport." i think this might have something to do with why the air seemed to leak. the instructions are confusing on how to ajust this and even so i cant test it as my tanks empty. any advice on sorting this?

also if anyone has advice on how the settings work like the firing mode and trigger sensitivity that would also help. also changing the volocity it would be useful to kno a bit more. any info about o-rings and where they go would also be helpfull.

i really like the gun but i'm scared i'll brake it or mess it up if i fiddle with settings which i dont what to do so any help on getting to know the gun and equipment will be helpful

thanks.

Fill the tank up??;):D

Try this link for some SLG info

http://www.protoslg.info/

My top tip is, stop "tinkering" with the bloody thing!:D

Iam sure most markers get "messed up" this way.People always seem to feel the need to adjust every setting before they have even played a game with it.

i didnt mean about filling the tank up i ment about sorting the other bit out for future refrence.

i'll try not to fiddle but can someone please simply exsplain the bolt and the bleed button. on all the pics i've seen of the slg the bleed button apears to stick out whereas in mine its inward or is this the self lubricating force button i've seen it labled as?). its confusing me a bit.

I think you need to talk to somebody from Dye/Proto

my guess is that the "bleed" button will only stick out when their is air in the bolt system

otherwise there is nothing to bleed

the click your hearing is could either be the micro switch or the noid if its switched on.
the bolt wont move unless your tank has got air in it.

Was the bottle screwed all the way in? I can't remember if the SLG has an OOPS, but if not you'll find it difficult to screw the bottle in once the pin is depressed and the pressure from the bottle increases the friction on the bottle threads. If your bottle never had air in it......well .....it should be obvious why it isn't working. The clicking is the solenoid, when you have air in it this will be accompanied by a loud bang that is your marker firing.

Yeh Basicly, The Bolt is what fires the ball out of the marker. The reason this bolt isn't moving is because you need to have Air in your air tank for it to work. For help on the setting of your gun like fire mode etc, I would go on youtube and just search Ultralight SLG board or something along the lines of that and there should be some videos of people showing you how to change the settings etc. Like the guys said before i would mess around with anything you don't know about.

Aslo, I don't understand how you know if theres a air leak though if you have no air in you'r tank?

Hope this helped.

if air is leaving out by the bolt then it could mean its not properly lubed. But to be on the safe side and not to break it just take it to someone who can show you how all your gear works.
