Lee Evans is much better than Peter Kay as a stand up.

I've seen Peter Kay recite jokes word for word that Lee Evans did years ago. His sitcoms are brilliant, but his stand up is just pathetic. Lee Evans is a true everymans comic. He's gone down the mainstream route and its served him very well. I would consider him the most successful stand up comic of all time in terms of the audiences he attracts, considering he plays to sold out stadium tours. I wouldn't say hes the best stand up comic with his material but definitely he's up there.
