Hi guys,

I've just got my shocker back from sloth after being annoe'd. Now that i have had it put back together its developed a leak. I'm pretty sure its coming from the back where the dovetail/snatch grip is. I've taken it apart and had a look and noticed that the tiny o-ring seems to be sticking up a bit too much. I'm not sure how to solve this. any help would be great full.

Thanks in advance

Might need abit more info on which tiny o-ring. Well Balf won't but the rest of us will.

Have you made sure the solinoid inserts are in the correct place? Also check that all the small o-rings in the manifold are present and correct.

If you need the technical terms and sizes then try:

If it's the o-ring on the snatch grip, it's non-sealing as there is no air passing near it so there would be no leak caused should it be missing/damaged, it merely adds a bit of extra pressure to the snatch grip holding it in position better.

At the back there are a couple of things that would cause leaks, the solenoid inserts and the ody set screws. Depending which is causing the leak depends where the leak appears from, on the left insert there are 4 o-rings the one nearest the screw threads would cause a leak from the threads, the 2 at the other end cause manifold leaks and off the top of my head I can't remember what the other does possibly a manifold leak again or it would cause pressure one way to hit pressure going the other way causing shooting problems. The insert on the other side is much the same, but only 2 o-rings.

The set screws would cause leaks from where they are positioned in the body, 2 near the rear, one under the manifold and one a bit further up, these need to be loctite'd in.

Hope that helps a bit
