Sorted this problem out with the help and advice of impulse raider on sunday at shrapnel in maidenhead and i thought i would share it incase it helps anyone else out.
Within the first 3 hours of my first walk-on with my newly acquired ego 06 i managed to throw my self gun first in to the floor so hard while attempting a dive i ripped the bottle and oops off my gun by shearing half the slide rail off the frame.
As im quite new to the paintball scene i thought this had ended me using the marker for the rest of the day until Carl (impulse Raider) kindly stepped forward with a spare CP rail and a hacksaw
After carefully cutting what was left of the slide rail off with the hacksaw he managed to get the CP rail on and i used the Ego for the rest of the day.
So when i got home that evening i set about making the temporary repair a permanent one with once again Carls helpful advice steering me in the right direction.
All i used to sort this out was....
* Metal file.
* 180, 240 & 400 grade wet and dry paper.
* Can of satin black spray paint.
This is what was left of the slide rail after the hacksaw modification.
So i got to work with the file until a got it down to this.
After i had got it to the above state with the file i got to work with the wet and dry starting with the course and working my way down to the fine until i had achieved this finish....
Then it was a simple case of some careful masking and a couple of light coats of satin black spray paint to get this finish.
Its not the most professional repair in the world, but i am happy with it and looks a damn site better than it did in the beginning.
