Hi all,

I'm a total newbie to paintballing but I've recently been given four 'Inferno Field' markers, complete with empty tanks.

I know they are in good working order as they have only been used a couple of times since new but i was wondering....

a) Are these any good ?

b) I cant seem to find much information online about them apart from here but i this says it uses compressed air... is this the same as CO2 (sorry i am really new)?

c) can anyone reccomend somewhere in the northamptonshire area where i can have the canisters filled up ?

d) Anything else i should know?

Any information would be greatfully recieved as i would really like to start using these markers but am struggling to find out where i start.

Thanks again.

Welcome aboard matey......Yarrrrr;)
Inferno review and website link
The inferno is basically a truly robust site gun that withstands rental use well. If all that you want to do is play a few walk on days then it will be fine but it will offer you no advantage over anything else, so decide what you want to do with them.
Co2 will need to be filled at a site and at a site only but i can clearly state that the inferno is basically designed for CO2 and that air is overkill for it.
Hope that helps

I totally agree with this but most sites will have markers that are similary in quality too that or better. So depending if you'r really going to get into paintball and play alot i would suggest a better marker. Also if you read up on Co2 tanks you will find that it isn't healthy for you'r marker and would recommend too get a High pressure air tank.
Also hope this helps :)

Well i have four of these guns so i guess it would cost a lot to purchase four air tanks for them...

Would an air tank just fit right on or would the marker have to be adapted in any way ?

In general that is true that CO2 is bad for your gun, but like the tippy's etc etc, the inferno's were designed for CO2. I've serviced infernos that have had litterally hundreds of thousands of paintballs through them and they were still going strong without problems.
Unless the site that you play at doesn't do CO2, then i can see no point in spending £120 on an air tank to screw it into a £10 marker?

Keep your CO2 tanks and spend your money on playing the game and having fun, then upgrade your whole set up "only" if it's holding you back;)

In case your wondering, I've got 20 years experience and have wasted more money than i can remember on "pointless upgrades and being trendy".

Play first........upgrade later!
