i think negative posts should be held off until this is allowed to get going, there is no upside to hurting something which is still in the build process. it isnt like rich is just adding another league to the UK scene but more replacing one which just fell to pieces and is held at the same place the PA was going to be held anyways. fair enough everyone is allowed a view or opinion but there is nothing but an idea and a 1/2 finished site to have an opinion on at the moment :)

It does sound like the PA. That was great last year, this year not so much. Maybe rich is using feedback and first person views and changing what he liked and disliked as a player to make a better, fresher tournament to offer to paintballers. You cant knock it till you have tried it.

So this is the PA with a slight difference then??

The event is going to be run by your team captain, so your comments lack any credibility
Not quite true there Mr DW sir. Rich has handed over the reins of MM to our new coach & team manager whilst he pursues this new venture.

We (mean machine) may well use the new site as a training venue when it is up and running but I fail to see how the opinions of one of our team members lacks credibility?

It seems that you have a issue with what is trying to be acheived here and I do not know why?????

Do you have an issue with someone bringing a new tournament series to the midlands???

It would appear so!

Anyway...Good luck Rich and I know there are a stack of teams out there that are looking forward to the new venture once its ready to rock.

Lets hope it is gong to keep all those doubters satisfied.

This thread is not a Mean Machine backslapping exercise nor is it MXL/MPL knocking competition. Rich has publicly stated his intentions and I am questioning whether it is the right way forward

Which will benefit it in what way??

The way I see it (as a neutral or as a team member) is that regardless of who it is etc, the fact that someone is stepping upto the plate and investing time and money into trying to offer us, the paintballing public a new opportunity to continue doing what we love to do....PLAY TOURNAMENT PAINTBALL, should be met with encouragment at least. (unless you know something we dont?)

In my humble opinion This should at least be encouraged in its infancy at least and then maybe raise a few questions if needed after, surely?

If people are not even prepared to give these efforts the opportunity to develop then quite simply they never will.....how does that benefit anybody?

it will be very difficult to decide until the tournament has been ran to see wether its pointing in the right direction,

as a quick note half hour away from site is close, my local training site is 50 mins away!! nearest tourney site is lincoln at 120 miles and ancaster at 140!!

as to the formats, psp was played last year by russ with some good results but obviously he must of felt it either not financially viable or a good way forward for british ball or he would of been playing it this year.

Do we really need to try and emulate the states, the level of play between europe and the states has pretty much grown too wide that for a long forseasble future we wont be having any teams bar joy if they go back stateside travel and be able to compete even with the market dropping out in the us and teams contracting the level of ball is still so much higher.

Why dont the uk organisers being now as is seems, Rich, wendy and syd being the top 3 most popular come together and try and find a solution to the uk's probelms wether its regional events then coming together at the end of year, uk series where all work together or just keep the independant series and sort out dates so nothing ever clashes!!

There are soultions to everything it will just take time, practicality, patience and alot of talking to get some sort of decent outcome for uk ball to continue even if it is only domestically!!.

I really do hope everything can work out and wish rich the best of luck
