I can't properly express myself without swearing, that is incredibly unfortunate. PGi is one of the highlights of my month. Is there any estimate of how long it will be on haiatus or are you weathering the storm of economic instability until it blows itself out?

Nice to have you back Robbo

Gutted to hear about the demise of PGi - I was just about to renew my subscription too :( Guess I'll have to get my subtitute paintball fix on line, either here or with Welt magazine. Do you think there's a chance PGi will re-emerge as a web based online publication?

I can't really see the economic situation changing in the short term, certainly not enough for Matt to reverse his decision and republish .... but you never know.

As some of you may know, I talk an awful lot to the Stateside industry guys and some of the more intelligent among them have predicited an 18 month to two year general recession with paintball in an 18 month to 2 year lag behind.
This means we can't really expect paintball to undergo any meaningful US growth for about 3 to 4 years.

To offest this somewhat depressing prediction, the rest of the world, inc Europe, is experiencing significant growth.
This ROW growth is in the order of 10 -15 % but is nowhere near enough to compensate for the US decline and so the future looks a little bleak.

Sorry to be a bit of a doomsayer but that's the state of play as I see it ..

What will be the outcome for subscriptions that have x number of months left on them?

Whilst personally I'm not too fussed, it's a much greater loss to see the magazine go under; some may be going down the simpler(and somewhat more selfish) view-point of: I've paid for a service, where is my refund for lack of fulfillment... etc

Just checked and got an Error 404 not found:(

Is Welt linked to PGi ?

It's nice to see you about.
I wish the circumstances were more fortuitous.
It is very good of you to step in and take our world (for some of us literally!) upon your shoulders, much like Atlas was thought to have done, though he actually just held up the Sky.

Anyway. I think many of us will be wondering...do we have to take of our shoes, when we are in your Gaff?

:D
