So we know TV hates it, and the Olympics couldn't bear it. I had a thought.

After catching up on here and reading a lot of the dribble that has come out in the 4 years I have saved while away in the USA, and I think paintball would gain a lot more exposure and interest as a soap opera! Really! The plots and gossip on here are so much more along the lines of Australian and US soaps that I think it should be the way forward.

We just need create the starting stories/plots to create it, I think any half decent program creator would snap it up.

Please discuss? I think the first story that should last a few weeks is,
"The Olympic Petition" About the emotional roller coaster that is elation of 72 people signed it, and the depression of reality that it isn't really "appropriate".

I think we need a central plot and a central area its based around, kind of like grown up Jossies Giants.

:D:):D:p

"Its 4am and Ollie Lang is busy sleepshooting again, known for his devastating field skills when he is awake and playing for the ironmen, fellow contestants are leaving their beds speedily for fear of being "bunkered" in their sleep, and now.........back to you in the studio Dermot" :p

haha I cant believe no ones thought of this before. It could be like Laguna and follow the "real" lives of 10 or so paintballers and their struggle of everyday life. Hell it would probably be better than Laguna Beach

Yeah Extreme Paintball: Beyond the Paint tries to follow that line - except far fewer bikinis. Far too few in my honest opinion.

Though Beyond the Paint is more like a promo for the player (and the NPPL) than a 'fly on the wall' ups and downs, day in day out docusoap.

Not too sure if having a paintball soap would be such a good thing, at some point the producers would want to spice it up with a blinding/bottle explosion, or similar, cliff hanger event.

Now is that what we want?

Unless, of course, they just decided to go down the bikini route :D
