Guitar advice...

Sorry, I know it's not paintball related (though I am collecting parts to build a guitar shaped like an Ego)

Does anyone know of a way, I can use an electric guitar, without a proper Amp?

I'm thinking, adapter from jack lead into stereo, pc etc?

Possible?

Anyone got a cheap practice amp kicking about?

if you can get a cable to go into your guitar with a normal sized head you can plug one end into the microphone jack and then it will play through the computer speaker


edit you can get the cable i use to run mine through the comp with guitar pro ( i think that was the program )

Thats what I was hoping. Is teh output from teh guitar stereo or mono?

I assume I need an adapter from teh larger jack to teh small one?

Any ideas?

ermm tbh mate your best bet is to ring and ask a music store they willb e able to tell you all the details i used a lead with a adapter i think :/ was a while ago though so not 100% what i used but i know its possible

you can get several different leads.

I know we had one that was a universal headphone type (one that you plug into your mp3 player) to amp jack - the part you plug into the amp.

So im sure it certainly is possible.

My problem, is that I just want to be able to hear the guitar (that I wont get unless the stupid bitch actually tells me where I am picking it up from!!)

Until such time as I have an amp.

you can get a smokey amp, shaped like a fag packet, for about £20, pretty cool!
and actually sound decent
plus they can be played through a speaker cabinet
