Unitech barrels for ego's

Struggling to get matching colour barrels for my egos and the only solution is the unitech ones.

i get terrible barrel bursts with my stock barrels, mostly down to the bad paint we have had at our site recently but i cant seem to wonder if a better barrel system would help.

i have had a freak and dont rate them much, so at the moment i am running on 1 peice barrels.

They are rated quite highly but does anyone have any other options.

I was thinking about getting there started set, 1 back, 1 front for 30 quid i think which soulds reasonable and they have the matching colours to my ego's body and ccu's.

as you said the stock barrel is already a good barrel and at 693 quiet a large bore have you looked at the bolt incase the is any sharp edges etc
might also want th check down the barrel as well. is the paint just coming down the barrel or is it in the hopper as well? if it is your hopper could be feeding to fast.
you could try changing your lpr?

was having probs with a ego 5 and a ego 6, can only put it down to paint, some others alos having problems from ions/pmr's etc but a etek 2 and ego 8 seemed to like the paint fine and had no probs. Both had 2 piece barrels though.

as said above, check where the paint is actually bursting first.

with the stock 693 barrels you'd be unlikely to get barrel bursts unless your paint is grossly oversized or swollen.

most likely a breech burst - for one of various reasons - in which case changing the barrel won't really help.

on saying that unitech barrels are incredibly good at shooting clear through gunge.

Perhaps a to low of a dwell, which requires a higher HPR output. Thus, exploding the balls as air is relised.

dwell is set to stock on both gats, might put it up .05 to 1.

Just checked my halo, didnt even think of it, it was set to the highest setting running at 35bps (v35) and the gat was capped on 2.00 software at 15bps ramp.

when was the last time you changed your detents ? or even checked both were still there ?

yep there and new, think i solved my own question though with the halo running at fastest setting and the gat capped at 15bps.
