most people use the 0.8L 4500psi fibre wrap ones, cost about £125 new :S may be out of your price range (im currently saving up for one now) haha.

steel is weighty, 0.8 3000psi tank will nearly weigh as much as a 1.1 fibre tank (with cover... and alot of muck and dirt :p) as i currently have both.
if youv got arms of steel (hehe, c wot i did there) then go for the 1.1 steel, may regret it in the long run, fill stations are at hand most of the time, so small tanks work dandy imo.

I'd be happy to sell you my 0.8 steel air tank for around £35inc p&p if your intrested :p

They are pretty heavy, better to get a 2nd hand fiber wrap off here for £50 - 60 squids or start doing some curls with a heavy weight.
I have a 1.1 steely on my AGD RT which is a heavy marker to start with.
If your marker is light like a PMR or Ion it will be ok otherwise go for the little 45 cu inch ones, they will last until you get pooned! lol ;)

I think you'll find 1.1L is the most popular.
With 0.8 you are prolly restricted on the amount of paint you can fire before needing a fill,I'm pretty sure I would struggle to empty my hopper and 4 pots with a 0.8 even with an Ego.
0.8 will prolly suffice for front players on speedball fields.
I wait to be corrected....
Snooperlee steel will do for a while(but they are cr8p) senconhand will suffice, save and buy a fibre wrapped 1.1,what ball are you mainly playing if it's walk-ons most sites only fill to 3,000 so it's pointless getting any bigger.
:D

i was borrowing my mates steeli, until i saved up for a 1.1, you will get the most out of your air if you get a 1.1, i was running a steeli on a slg, and it would run out after 3/4 pots and a hopper and that if its a 3 fill, you will get your moneys worth if you get a 1.1 rather than a 3000psi steeli

Totally agree, 1.1 fibre wrap is the way to go. I hardly know anyone who uses a 0.8 as there's so little difference in weight but the bonus of more shots per fill, so unless you're tiny and prefer a really tight setup I wouldn't even bother with a 0.8.

1.1 steel is going to make for a pretty heavy setup and you can only fill to 3000psi whereas you can go to 4500 with a fibre (some will go to 5000 but not many places fill that high)

I learnt the hard (and expensive) way and went for the 0.8 3000 as I thought it would be enough for any one game. Went to my 1st walk on with it and ran out of air during two games :( and came very close to running out in another game!

So I've had to folk out for a larger tank (1.1 45000) as I dont want to put myself in that position ever again!!! At least if I ran out of paint I could ask a mate on the field to chuck us a pot were its very unlikely for someone to be carrying a spare bottle on the field with them lol
