cod4 1.7 patch is out (PC)

My patch screwed up somehow. D/L it, updated, all good. Then on new game says I still need to update it, XFire said I did too. But I also tried to log on and I can get on 1.7 servers, WTF
So basically, it keeps asking me to update, but when I try it again it says I don't need to and allows me on 1.7 servers. So it's kinda annoying.

ive had major problems with this patch. people speak of it wrecking the gfx or sound... it stopped my PC from detecting my harddrive its the only thing ive installed/changed and it fooked my machine over. luckily its an easy fix if you know what your doing but my god i was pissed off when my machine wouldnt boot windows.
