new paypal charges

Credit and cards are instant, and cost paypal money to process, which is what the 4% fee is for.

Bank transfers take several days to clear and dont cost paypal money.

Paypal used to charge you the 4% on transfer regardless of the source of the money. To ensure they covered the credit card charge.

Even though with paypal balance and bank transfers, there is no credit card charge.

Looks like they finally fixed it.

PayPal will apply a fee for payments received for Personal Payments or Commercial Payments if such a payment is funded by a credit or debit card, however for Personal Payments funded by a card, the sender will have the option of paying the fees for that payment
Means if you have no money in your paypal account and you choose to pay by credit card, you the sender, will be able to pay the fees instead of the reciepient, essentially they want you to have money in your paypal account longer

PayPal will not charge a recipient (regardless of their account type) of a PayPal payment if that payment was funded by the sender's bank account or PayPal balance
Again, they want you to have money in your paypal, or at least in your bank account. If you dont pay buy debit or credit card and it is personal, then its fee exempt, so thats what we all need to start doing on July 9th, though those people who use credit cards will probably now be asked by every person they sell to, to start paying the fees. I reccomend that if your selling something that you should continue to put a paypal fees not included as most people with card payments should pay from now on as its there own fault for not having any cash in the bank or funds in paypal

You get charged as if it was a credit card. You're now best off linking your Paypal account directly to your bank account. That's what I'll be doing.
i just made a payment and as i had verified my bank account it has set that as the default payment method now:D which is good
