PM6 - What is the strange hole?

I've looked through the PM6 manual and can't find out what it is so I will ask you guys that know everything

Under the barrel and above the lpr there is a hole, right of centre if looked at from the front.

What is it?

There are two allen key grommit thingies in it.

How far should they be screwed in and should there be two?

Should they be lubed or locktighted as one seems to have something white in the threads?

Hope you can help.

I know exactly what you're on about as I own a PM6 as well. I believe it has something to do with when they mill out the air channels inside of the marker. I can't remember exactly what it has to do with that though. I know a few different guns, like my cyborg, have the same thing near the LPR. The plugs are there to do just that - plug the hole. I doubt how far you screw them in will affect anything, but I'd recommend sticking a bit of locktite (not the red permanent stuff just in case) to keep them nice and snug.

It's where holes were drilled for air passages, and what you see is the screw to prevent the air leaking out. Unless there is a leak from around the screw, don't touch it. They should be nice and snug already and are never likely to need messing with.

This PM6 has been full of leaks at the front, replaced all the seals on LPR and HPR. now got a few bubbles coming from that hole in the front.
I've taken out the two grommits and basically just need two know how far they should be screwed in and if they should be locktighted
Whatever was on them when they went in is just a crusty coating now.

Clean both the grubs off and the marker too as best you can, then loctite both in and leave to set fully before gassing up marker.

They should be screwed in so are flush with body I believe.

I don't think that is quite true.

I know it's a different marker but on my DM4 I was advised to screw them in all the way (finger tight).

Speak to Ash, he will clarify.

I would also wager, that they be screwed in (gently) to the end of the thread.

When they drill the hole, they will only tap a thread as far as it needs to go, so bottom out the grub screw with some decent Loctite on it and leave it before gassing it up.

That's what I did with the exception of loctite on the first grub screw. Screwed the first one in just until it started to bite. (no loctite) I then loctited the second one in. (Had to do this on the rear and the front of the body)

That is what Ash kindly advised me to do.

Yeah. Reason you don't Loctite the first one, is so that there is no chance of you filling the airway up with Loctite.
