Not sure this is the right place for this but...
i have the opportunity of some empty land, about an acre. and obviously, first thought is i can build a site! :D
i`m not talking proper D7s or punter site, just something for training and games with mates and maybe a team if i ever get one!

So recommendations for netting etc and mainly bunkers as i cant afford a full supair field haha:D

if anyone is really bored, design me a field useable for both training and games, using budget materials :D

thanks

EDIT;
also, what is the law on using markers on private property
and what about insurance??

best advise... dont bother, more hassle than its worth. Although you think its a good idea, so many little things to think about that will just give you headaches. Main one being insurance.

Also a acre isn't very big (about the size of a football field, if not a tiny bit bigger)

see if you can get planning permission first
you need planning permission to dump some tire stacks in a field!?

why would i need insurance if its just for me and mates, no money being taken?
football field is plenty big enough for millenium size field let alone training field!
isnt it!?

Believe me, you need insurance. i'll list some of the headaches you may come accross:

planning Permission to use the land
Access to land
Public footpaths/roads/house's near by
Posting the field up with netting

and i could go on.

If you dont have the cash to buy a field, i'd say support the place's that are all ready out their, we'd all love our own fields/site's but its just not viable or realistic money wise.

you'll get away without planning permission for most of it, if it is not fixed to the ground or otherwise "immobile", and if you use access track that's already there (without relaying it).

however you would need permission to erect the poles to carry your netting, place a container/shed for storing equipment, etc.

thanks for your help,
Access is no prob, its not going to be 100punters every weekend, just me and a few mates so thats fine.
as far as i know there is nothing nearby, and there is 2 acres of land i can choose my area from.
i know a guy with all the equipment to put the posts up for netting, bus as previously said i will have to look into planning permission

i`m pretty sure there are a number of small outbuildings on the yard attatched to the land so happy days :D

thanks guys for all your help, any more comments much appreciated :D

if its private land , you can do what you want,

basicly, lets be honest ...

as long as its what you say, a place to train not for generating revenue, its like a private party at a friends house,...! were just playing paintball...!
