Now you are just splitting hairs over my preference to use the word good over best, and you are taking it out of context.

We aren't asking the "pro's" their opinion, (and lets be honest none of them actually fit the dictionary definition for a Pro player) then what is the point of requesting the viewpoints of the mere mortals of the forums when as you say only the "pro's" are permitted to give their opinion ? What you are proposing is an elitist opinion on who is the best. "You are only cool if we say you are cool" kind of comment.

And to add to that, how many "pro" teams do we have in the UK ?? Not many. A select number of teams with a limited number of places, which means that plenty of players who are capable of competing for the position of best player are not in the CPL. Hell some people could still be playing KOTH for all we know.

It doesn't matter if its Jay Ford, or any other player, its not the "pro's" opinion, its the forum members opinion.
Then, as I said earlier the poll should be called.

Vote for your "favourite UK player"...

You know best though

You do a members vote on anything and you get distorted view due to reasons behind each individual vote.

Take this example
If you did the same poll (eg the sexist female in the UK) in FHM, The Sun, The Guardian & Woman Own and the poll was open to readers only. The final result of each poll would be different and yet perfectly valid

Or if

Talk sport did a listeners poll on the best footballer in the Barclays Championship
How subjective would that poll be?

Jay
You are in the Final Poll because you were nominated and you easily got through the preliminary vote.
My view is that PGI Online members have a right to vote on anything whether its best player - best marker - best retailer - best team - worst poll - worst mod. At the end of the day it's their collective opinion however they arrived at it. You are on the list because people believed that you should be, after that its down to who votes and why the voted. No different to any other poll you see here or elsewhere for that matter.

Keka
Why cannot Joe PGI - Online member not have an opinion on who they think is the best player
Vote & Polls are subjective opinions not necessarily based on facts, but because of the randomness of thinking and diversity of voters a fair reflection can be gained of public opinion. This is not guaranteed to reflect the opinion of those who claim to be in the know, but it is still valid

You can have a poll and everyone can have their opinion but it wont mean anything unless you qualify it.
If you had chosen the 10 top players based on the things that make them top players then asked the readers to vote it would be fine but that didn't happen. I really don't care but you have guys who train 5 times a week, go the gym and sacrifice everything and they are near the bottom of the table. Colby Keats is one of the top players in EUROPE, let alone the UK and he is currently in 9th place!

If this poll is a true reflection on what UK ballers think being a Pro player is or indeed the best player in the UK, then it is no wonder there are only a handful players in the UK who can compete at the Pro level in Europe.

Re-name the Poll and this debate would end.

lol you either rolled out of bed the wrong side and hit your head this morning, or someone stole the last of your favourite cereal :D ;)

Your opinion is that Colby Keats should be higher up the list. Other people have different views. This sort of poll is always going to be based on individual viewpoints. And you can't say have the top ten pro players in the UK decide, as who then decides who those top ten players are ? Who would everyone trust enough to decide ?? And even then there will always be people who complain about the decision as its not what they believe.

These 12 players, in my opinion, are very talented and there is not much between them. I personally think it doesn't matter what division/team you play for BUT your playing ability. I think these 12 players put together would be an unstoppable team

I have watched all these players play at some point - some more than others. At first I wasn't going to vote because I couldn't decide. So I phrased the question differently to myself "who do I think is the best player to watch play sup'air because of their ability, not team, player?

My vote went to Colby Keats - I love watching him play :)
Its all just a bit of fun though isn't it? :p

I did not pick any of the players in this poll - your fellow PGI-Online members did
They nominated the players and they voted for those to go through to the final poll
If the informed people like yourself, who are members on here cannot be arsed to vote for the likes of Colby, then why is it the polls fault.
