Oliver Lang played for Bullets in Div.1 over the last 4 years....thank god he finally made it to the CPL in '08, Demon14, or your argument would've totally fallen to pieces....

The poll should be called...

"Best player that people have seen play in the UK."

Right i have been around this sport for a long time now and i've seen a lot of players in my time, this is how i look at this poll;

It's SILLY
how can am players lead a poll on the best players in the uk, there should have been two polls the TOP PRO and the TOP AM player polls

Don't get me wrong these players are good but in the divs they play in. maybe if they were to play in the pro div people would see a different side.

Can you understand my point? I watched the pa at the weekend and you could see the difference between the am players and the pros.
Been around the sport for a long time but managed to not go on p8ntballer once and post? Or is the one post count due to your real identity being harmed to much from your outspoken post?

As for the Am and Pro discussion, i'm sorry but that's stupid. Do you think every Pro... just turned Pro? In this debate, before Xfactor were promoted to the Pro Division of the NPPL, according to your comment means, there is no chance that team is better than the 'Pro' teams in the NPPL, however theyre first event in Pro was a win?

Could they not have pulled that off in the event before hand while they were still classed as Semi? (Or AM)

This poll has caused a lot more debate then it should, the best way to find out who the best uk player is? is to ask the best uk 'players', because they're the ones who truly understand what makes a player.

I'm not saying others don't, but in a poll that can be voted on by anyone registered, than your going to get the friendship votes added in.

Dunny gets my vote .

As was evident when put up to decent opposition? I presume from this post you were 'watching' as oppose to playing? It's a lot easier to judge when your behind that pretty netting isn't it :)

I know for a fact Pebble is considered as one of the top uk players, and i know for a fact that he is considered 'by' the top uk pro players also.

Your post seems a little bit like a, "i saw ollie lang get shot, he's crap" kind of example, and fortunately for those in the 'know' they will smile at it with pitty and look past it :)

as said before, the top players know who the top players are, regardless of the outcome of this poll or the opions of forum users.

That's correct but neglecting the point of the post, it wasnt about whether or not they earned a spot, it was the skill level at which they were at while in the Semi Pro bracket.

Earning a Pro spot didn't give them a sudden super power to be a pro level, they had the skill there before, but were just using it in semi-pro.

The point im trying to put forward is, that being in a lower division doesn't necessarily make your team a 'lower' skill.

this isn't by any means referring to Disruption, just pointing out that Pro or Am is regardless of who deserves to be classed as the top uk player.

the likes of dave and twizz know everyone in uk paintball they have seen anyone who is someone in this sport i would like to see their top 10 players as i think this would be a true reflection of who is the best.....
Not really as it would be biased by their opinion. That's not to say that they couldn't pick out the best 10 but you would still have to remember its THEIR opinion. A limited view, that of 1 or 2 people, whereas asking the general populace gets a much wider view.
