Is any one having problems getting online ? "Cannot connect to game provider, please try again later." Is it still down ? As i ahve not been on it today to try.

yes sorry i got to the bottom of it. A quite substantial amount of people where having problems connecting to the multiplayer always getting the "Cannot connect to game provider, please try again later." message this was going on for 2 days more or less sometimes working and other times not but it's all sorted now. I am not sure if people rely even noticed this down time or was rely affected but i sure as hell was. I am addicted and i needed my fix of GTA online goodness so i just wanted to know if any one had some info on it but as i said before all seems to be well now.
mmm played for about 3hrs overall so far (owned it since saturday) and imo once your past the gfx then its just san andreas again 
Apparently, the PS3 version runs at 640p. With no anti-aliasing.
360? 720p, with 2x AA.
So much for the technical edge there.

IT IS JUST STILL Grand Theft Auto
However, the devil is in the details, and thats where it shines.
also the city is so alive and realistic in a way that the PS2 versions could never be.
Also, the story, characters and writing have all upped the bar.
I really like it and am really into it, however, the first 6-8 hours are slow. Once you get out of Broker it kicks in, GTA style.
