Well......I'm almost certainly going to get flamed by some people for saying this but......(bear in mind this is coming from a Tippmann A5 owner) Don't get stuck into the "It's recball so I need a Tippmann" mindset.......I remember a post similar to this one recently and this came up a lot. By all means A5's and similar (98s, BTs etc) are good guns but they aren't the be all and end all just because they look slightly more like real guns. They do have advantages (easier to add "tactical" modifications on to, clear sightline, tend to be rock solid etc) but if it doesn't feel right for you it won't work. So as unhelpful as it may be try as many peoples guns as possible and see what feels good!

As for extra speed....if an A5 with an egrip can fire ropes.....most things can! But again back to fit.....ergonomics will make a difference here (double trigger, grip frame etc) so again try your fit!

Enjoy!

Since the A5 Egrip requires a tool to change fire mode it seems to be legal at most of the sites I play atleast.....maybe someone in the know would like to clarify if this definitely is the case everywhere? Whilst the X7 Egrip has an external Fire selector it can also be limited internally also making it field legal (depending on the answer to the last bit?)
