PSI Gauge

Hi guys!

I have a Smartparts EOS and my psi gauge has somehow gone past 300psi and stopped there, i now have a new gauge but my problem is how do i get the old one off? Iv tryed taking screws out and stripping it down but i couldnt get to the gauge, iv also tryed getting a pair of pliars on it but it wont come loose. Can anybody help me?

Most gauges are like a bolt, you use something like a 3/4 inch socket or spanner etc to get it out.

Tighten it a touch (touch!) first to crack the seal then wind it out. Clean the threads and use loctite when putting new one in.

Yeah, but has to be a good one. Cheap ones open up a bit when you lean on them, which risks slipping and hurting yourself or rounding the gauge.
