I don't really think you need a reason to want an SL74.WHY does it seem, that everybody and their dog, seems to be wanting SL74's at the mo ?

It's like asking someone for a reason why they want sex with a hot person. For most people, it's a natural urge. Sure, they may settle for average people, even great people, but if the opportunity for a HOT person comes up, they are going to grasp it with both hands and massage rhythmically.
It's quite appropriate that its an EGO actually. The "ID" part of them, is saying "I want one, NOW!", which it always will have been, but the "Ego" part, says "Tough, it's out of reach buddy." and the "SuperEgo" part has been saying, "Be patient and the opportunity may arise at some point".
Really, the whole "Ego trip", "Ego boost", "over inflated Ego" etc, should really supplement "Ego" for "ID" as that is really what it's all about.
So, to answer your question, or to put it another way, present you with a question;
If the world, was suddenly flooded with normal girls, that just happened to have similar desirability as, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston or my wife and her mate Holly.
Would you not be putting yourself out there, to get one?
