Shocker with severe drop off

After rebuilding 3 Autocockers for the past couple of weeks, I've been given the challenge of fixing a shocker this weekend.

It gases up fine but doesn't fire properly, the first couple of shots are fine, next couple of shots come out weak and then the next few barely blurp out of the barrel.

Any Ideas on what I should check, clean and fiddle with on it?

Thanks

andy

start with a new battery as gassy said, if still not working work your way from where the air goes in.

Make sure the bottle reg is ok (try with a other tank),
then the on/off (making sure the pin is pushing the tank pin in far enough)
then the macro elbow's, and macroline
then the reg (it may be dry or just bloody dirty)
FRM dont usually cause a issue, and skip the noid for now.
take the bolt out, making sure orings look ok (if you have a rebuild kit, change every oring), dont forget about the SFT oring at the front of the gun (near the thread)
If still not working, take the noid off, and give it a jolly good clean and relube.
Check dwell and FSDO settings

If its still not working, best to send to a tech (not balf, he like's hammers :p)

Stealing Al's PC parts
Bottle reg, inline reg, new battery, clean and regrease bolt assembly, check dwell settings, check input pressure, failing those clean and grease solenoid, fiddle with solenoid inserts.

Most shockers have FSDO it's incureable without a board with FSDO or ABS setting......so they say ;)

If you need a hand with any of it give me a shout, I can talk you through it or throw you in the direction of Ydna's vid's

Thanks for the help and ideas. If I get it fixed then I get to play with it :)

Cutting down the cost of getting back into paintball after many years.

I'll check the simple things, give it a clean and post the results

Balf im amazed you didnt go into detail on the inserts.

If its a stock bodied shocker make sure they are flush with the body, if it is a PL shocker then make sure they are around 2 threads in.

I had a drop off problem at the weekend and found that it was the bolt sleeve causing the problem. Whether it is a dodgey o-ring or not i dont know, but if the previous owner had more than one bolt and accidentally swapped them it could be the cause.
