A team mate also made the same comment as this (personally i found it strange and think they shoot like a dream), have you by chance been using a DM before this marker? My guess is if you used something else then you would think it had near no kick but it seams the DMs have pretty much 0 and the egos take some getting used to :D

It'll break in after about 10 or so cases. After that just make sure the regs are clean and lubed, the rammer is well oiled. You may have the oppurtunity to lower the LPR and dwell too, but do it over a chrono and only change one thing at a time.

Saying that, mine shot like a goose-feather pillow right out of the box...

Ego 8 and Sl8r

I was cleaning an 08 this week and a Sl8r last week..the sl8r and ego8 both had very stiff rammer movements compared with my 06 which was very smooth. The rammer could just be tapped out of the back of the gun..The sl8r needed to be pushed out of the back from in front with a screwdriver or similar tool..the whole action seems to be a lot stiffer.
I wonder if the 08 and sl8r have similar designs of rammer rod making the a "kick" more noticeable?

Don't forget people, it takes about 10,000 cycles (with paint please!) to bed a marker in.

The inside of the reg and body are all anodised and this has to polish up, which will wear the o-rings etc.

Once it has bed in, I bung new seals on then it only takes a few hundred cycles to bed in the new o-rings, then the gun is bed in properly.

However, you shouldn't notice particularly bad efficiency etc.

Once the marker is beded, you may find that lowering the dwell to 14 from the stock 16 may help, but as with all adjustments, do it over a chrono and remember that temperature, will affect how the marker behaves to a certain degree.

polls it didnt use to kick..... what u done....lol

as skeet says. But if is my old un, it was worn in, but i didnt change the orings after wear in as there was no need.

try lowering the dwell a touch, and make sure the zick oring is still good
